16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
I’m choosing to interpret this rule rather broadly. While it certainly would apply to visiting a foreign country, I think it can also mean venturing out of our comfort zones.
Particularly as we age, we can become fearful of the unknown. What if we get lost? What if we don’t like it? We’re set in our ways.
By denying ourselves the opportunity to go someplace we’ve never been before, we may be closing the door to a new joy. Is that a good idea?
