I just finished rereading my “Life is Good” blog that I posted to end 2019. A lot of the items on my list still ring true for me. There also were a lot of significant changes. Little did we know that as 2020 approached, the entire world would turn upside down in a matter of months. Thankfully, most of us survived the pandemic and have been rebuilding our lives ever since.

This year brought new challenges and new joys for most of us. It’s important to me to focus on happiness and positivity (thanks, Dad), and so without further ado, here is my Life is Good list for 2024 (in no particular order):

  • I am still practicing yoga 4-5x each week.  (Note, “practice” is key.)
  • I continue to love my job and the satisfaction I derive from helping others.
  • I am grateful that my relationship with Barry is thriving.
  • I posted another 52 blogs this year, and still love writing them.
  • I also continued my habit of writing in my journal every night.
  • I hosted my own monthly podcast which was fun until it wasn’t.
  • I got out of jury duty.
  • I experienced Sedona for the first time.
  • I am delighted with the outcome of my front yard re-landscaping project (thank you, Barry).
  • I obtained many new 5-star ratings on Google and on Yelp.
  • I cleaned out my garage cabinets and my guest room closet and made 7+ trips to Goodwill.
  • I hosted family and friends from California who stayed with me but didn’t overstay.
  • I completed my sixth year of volunteering at Adam’s Place.
  • I reconnected with some old friends and it was as though time hadn’t passed.
  • I was reappointed by the State Bar of Nevada to serve on the Fee Dispute Arbitration/Mediation Panel.
  • I got a new, super-comfy sofa and a new, super-giant television.
  • I celebrated a big birthday and felt the love from family and friends, near and far.
  • I wake up grateful and go to sleep grateful every single day and night.

As I was compiling this list, it became obvious to me that my greatest joys this year were either related to my home or to my business.  No surprise there.

Of course, there were some not-so-good things too, but guess what?  I got through them by focusing on all things positive, including my gratitude to each person who has read, or is now reading my weekly post/

What’s your Life is Good list for 2024?  Please comment so that I can share in your joy.

In closing, I want to thank you all for reading, liking, commenting, and sharing my weekly blog posts.  I am also grateful for those of you who’ve referred Mediation Around The Table to others who are experiencing conflict.  That means the world to me.

I wish you good health, peace, and happiness in 2025.
