Nancy Gabriel Mediation in las vegas NVIn this, my last post for 2018, I want to get personal. No attempts at wisdom here, and no suggestions to help avoid or resolve conflicts. Instead, I’m writing about what matters to me, and what motivates me to improve.

In a single word — relationships.

The relationships in my life occupy virtually all of my brain’s available disc space. Sometimes I think I have infinite storage, and other times I think I need to move some of my relationships to an offsite backup. Which is to say that I choose to let go of some of the relationships in my life that aren’t bringing me joy.  Once that is accomplished (sometimes easier said than done), I will free up some valuable disc space so that I am better able to nurture those relationships that I want, need, and appreciate.

Sounds like a new year’s resolution, doesn’t it?  Well, I’ve already started on this.  Instead of merely thinking about it, I am beginning to ask out loud how I can be a better friend, a better relative, a better colleague, and a better mediator.

If you’re waiting for me to ask you personally, please don’t.  I’m still learning how, so I’ll be grateful if you’d let me know what I can do to help you in 2019.

I am very thankful to each and every one of you for reading my blog posts, liking them, commenting on them, and sharing them.  I hope you will continue to do so in 2019.

Happy, healthy, peaceful, prosperous, and joyous wishes to you for the New Year.

With gratitude,

Nancy
